On 16 October 2024 Friends of Hastings House were delighted to sponsor an evening at Hastings House delivered by Deborah Thomas talking all things menopausal. A very interesting evening & free to all those that attended - & in her own words the first time she has been invited to such an event in a local practice in Warwickshire delivering much needed advice & reassurance to all those coming along.
The annual day was held recently at Wellesourne Village Hall. Refreshments were available & a raffle with all funds raised for Friends of Hastings House - in total a great success both with the vaccinations and also > £225 raised on the day.
This would not have been possible without the help of Heidi, Joy & Chris & Eileen who all did a sterling job.
Friends of Hastings House is seeking someone to act as secretary to the trustees, with current secretary leaving after working with the charity for the first three years of its existence.
The hours involved are short, infrequent but vital to the success of the charity.
For the 2024 Summer concert we were again entertained by Meet On the Ledge. Who performed their Dark Side of The Ledge set featuring the music of Pink Floyd.
It was a great evening of fabulous music from the band who performed brilliantly for the enthusiastic audience in St Peters Church Wellesbourne.

Things are moving forward at a pace for the 2024 Beer Festival taking place as usual at the Bowling Club on the Recreation Ground from 4.30 to 11.00 on Friday 17h May and 1.00 to 7.00 on Saturday 18th May.
We will be providing our selection of beers which are not normally available locally but are almost all from local breweries. We plan to have a larger selection of ciders than last year.
